1.Find a subject to photograph. Your subject should be able to sit still, and it should contain some depth. Your buddy in front of a bare white wall will look as boring in 3-D as he or she does normally. Consider close-ups of detailed things. You will probably want to set your camera to macro mode - the symbol is typically a flower.

2.Your subject needs to be able to sit still because you will be taking two "as-identical-as-possible" photos: one for the left-eye view and one for the right. A tripod might be nice, but it certainly isn't necessary. Take the first photo, then move the camera about 2 inches (the distance between your eyes) to the right and try to retake the photo to be as identical to the last one as possible.

3.Copy the two images to your computer. Open in whatever photo editing program you prefer.

4.Convert the first (left) image to gray scale (yes, you are discarding color information).

5.Convert the second (right) image to gray scale, then reconvert it back to RGB. It should still appear gray.

6.Still working on your second image, change your program to a mode that controls color channels. Select just the Red channel (usually designated by an eye icon next to the selected channel.)

7.Back on the first image, select all press
ctrl +A then copy press ctrl +C.....the image. Return to the second image and make sure the color channels are still displayed with only the Red channel selected. Now paste the first image that you copied. Now select the RGB channel. This replaces the Red channel of the second image with the first image. You should now see a gray scale image with red and blue halos.

8.Move the red layer around with the mouse or arrow keys so that the two line up, minimizing the halos.

9.Examine the photo while wearing your red-blue glasses (red over the left eye). You can change the natural focal point of the photo by readjusting the red layer's alignment. Eliminate the halos around an object in your photo to make it the focal point.

10.If it is just not working for you, try looking through the glasses backwards (red over the right eye). When you have something you like, crop off the red and blue edges of the photo and save it. A well done 3-D photo should look mostly gray with small shadows of red and blue.

2D movie convert to 3D movie with this software

MakeMe3D? its software can convert 2D movies automatically in the third dimension. The new 3D movies are compatible with the 3D glasses anaglyph known and new stereoscopic 3D hardware. 3D is now new technical "one. " What was inconceivable a few months ago has become a reality long ago. The public film placed on the 3D glasses for watching movies in a completely new dimension. And much more is happening: the industry is busy tinkering with 3D Blu-ray Disc, TV-3D and 3D-computer. There is no doubt that the beginning of a new 3D boom, which will keep consumer electronics and IT industry responsible for the next ten years.

MakeMe3D: With the touch of a button in the third dimension
MakeMe3D is extremely easy to use new technologies need not be complicated. The program supports the import of 2D videos and other video formats DVD, AVI, WMV, MP4, 3GP, MPG and TS, to mention only the most important. The program saves the 3D-converted video in AVI, MPG, MP4 and WMV. You can choose from many target profiles. For example, the video resolution is automatically adjusted for iPad parameters, PlayStation PS3 or Xbox 360. When converting a large number of 2D video-batch mode is an option. This method converts all the video from a list and saves the user valuable time.

For the conversion we use our 3D object recognition and self-developed motion analysis. We can not force the vertical or horizontal, to make the page or frame inversion, have automatically adjusted the brightness and set the depth effect completely variable. Without appropriate technology, 3D-videos and movies appear blurry blurry. To obtain the appropriate 3D-depth, it takes the appropriate hardware. MakeMe3D supports:

Supported Hardware 3D
1. anaglyph 3D glasses (red / cyan, red / blue, green / magenta and yellow / blue): For recording videos anaglyph PC screen or TV viewer needs a classic 3D glasses to enjoy 3D effect.
2. Shutter technology: to use modern technology to shutter, a Nvidea 3D glasses Vision Kit (compatible with 3D Vision video player) and a 120 Hz as appropriate monitoring Syncmaster 2233RZ, GD235HZ Acer, Acer GD245HQ, Alienware OptX AW2310 or Viewsonic VX2265wm FuHzion The Notebook Asus G51J-3D or 3D projector Acer H5360 as necessary.

How to make 3D Anaglyph Images using Photoshop

intro:

Since his arrival at the Red Planet, Mars Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity have returned a number of postcards in 3-D for countless fans equipped with red and blue glasses. For some, the realistic images of the rocky Martian terrain may seem magical, but the concept behind the illusion is actually quite simple."Basically, the 3-D images fool your brain into doing what he always does in the real world,"says Zareh Gorjian, a graphic Laboratory at NASA's Jet Propulsion, which makes 3-D images and animations Mars to live, both on the type in black and white and in color the more advanced versions.

So simple is the trick that with a little effort, everyone with a camera, a computer equipped with a photo editor, and a pair of tinted glasses can make their own 3-D images of Mars , family members, pets or anything else before a development lens.

Gorjian, who played with the technique for 10 years, transforms all kinds of images in 3-D feasts for the eyes, including his latest vacation photos. "It's just fun, " he said.
The key to the 3-D imaging lies in simulating a left eye and right. For the Mars Exploration Rovers, this is accomplished with the help of an eye of the camera left and right. Images of lenses rovers' stereo camera (or cameras risk avoidance, navigation cameras or panoramic cameras) are colored in red and blue, then merged into one blurred picture, which appears off the page when is viewed through a pair of red - and blue glasses.

"Your brain thinks it is seeing two separate images left and right and so does what she always does - combines them into one image," said Gorjian.

These photos basic 3-D are called anaglyphs and work best when viewed in black and white. Color anaglyphs are more difficult because objects appear red and blue only one eye. "You give up color when you use the red and blue glasses, " says Gorjian.

Instead, he and his colleagues at the JPL Multimission Image Processing Laboratory create 3-D color photos using two sophisticated techniques: polarization and infrared transmission. In polarization, the light from images left and right eye is polarized, or made travel in the opposition, the perpendicular directions. In the infrared transmission, the images left eye and right flickered back on a special screen faster than the eye can blink. Both strategies require specialized glasses for viewing.

3D glasses are enjoying a renaissance at the moment but the new ones are a distant echo of the red-blue affairs of youth. Old-fashioned 2-color 3D images are called anaglyphs, and still have a very nostalgic appeal for many people. This video shows you how to make stereoscopic anaglyph using Photoshop, allowing you to create all sorts of cool pictures that old 3D glasses to use.

Anaglyph is a type of stereo 3D image created from two photographs taken approximately 2.5 inches apart, the center distance typically between human eyes. The Red color field of the left photo is combined with that of the right photo in such a way as to create the illusion of depth. In America usually the RED, BLUE lens glasses are worn to view the effect, in Europe the RED, GREEN combination is common.Anaglyph is a type of stereo 3D image created from two photographs taken approximately 2.5 inches apart, the center distance typically between human eyes. VIEWING

Viewing an anaglyph 3D stereo image is easy. All you need is a Red filter over your left eye and a Blue, or Green, or Cyan filter over the right eye. Any of these will work to view the 3D effect, but for viewing full color anaglyphs, the Red/Cyan combination is best. Now, once you have the filters over your eyes, just relax and allow yourself time to get into the picture. Your eyes will cross slightly as the image comes into 3D focus. The 3D effect only works on the horizontal plane, so moving your head from side to side will aid in seeing deeper into the image and turning off the lights in your computer room will help a bit too.

There are many different types of glasses now available for viewing anaglyphs, from the inexpensive cardboard types, to the best I've tried and the kind I wear regularly, Anachrome. These new glasses are definitely worth the money, and there are many stereoscopic 3D websites on the internet with stereo images you can see for free, along with many posters and comic books on the market.

The cardboard glasses with Red/Cyan lenses work very well and I would suggest you pay a little more money when you buy yours and get the heavy cardboard type. They will last much longer and you will be out maybe a dollar or two more for these. I compared the anaglyphic glasses supplied with the SPY KIDS DVD and they work well for viewing online 3D images. They have a darker shade of Red and Cyan filters compared to my other cardboard 3-D Specs in fact the darker filters provide a similar view experience as the Anachrome glasses sans the large lens area and heavy plastic frames.
